Tranquil and spa-like, this stunning pool house in Uptown New Orleans has undergone a meticulous renovation that reflects a harmonious collaboration between the homeowner and the design team. Every detail of the renovation was carefully considered to create a serene oasis that invites relaxation and rejuvenation. The light blue stained shiplap paneling, chosen for its soothing and airy qualities, serves as an ideal backdrop for the homeowner's curated collection of vintage shutters. These unique shutters, each with its own history and character, have been thoughtfully transformed into bespoke cabinets that not only provide functional storage solutions but also add a touch of artistic flair to the space.
Overall, the pool house stands as a testament to the homeowner's vision and the collaborative effort put forth during the renovation. It is a space where tranquility reigns, offering a perfect escape from the bustling energy of New Orleans. The renovation process involved sourcing materials that would complement the overall aesthetic while ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. The choice of light blue for the shiplap was inspired by the calming hues found in nature, reminiscent of clear skies and tranquil waters, which perfectly encapsulates the essence of a spa-like retreat. Each panel was meticulously installed to create a seamless flow throughout the pool house, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and light.

The tropical-inspired landscaping, featuring a pebble courtyard, offers an ideal setting for dining and relaxation.

In addition to the striking paneling, the bespoke cabinets made from vintage shutters serve a dual purpose. They not only showcase the homeowner's passion for collecting unique pieces but also reflect her commitment to sustainability and repurposing. Each cabinet is a conversation starter, telling stories of the past while providing practical storage for poolside essentials such as towels, sunscreen, and outdoor games. The careful craftsmanship involved in creating these cabinets ensures that they blend seamlessly with the overall design, maintaining a cohesive look that is both stylish and functional.

The large curved shutters were converted into a distinctive and visually captivating door, providing access to a Moroccan-inspired bath.
